The Slot.it ProAxle crowns are a standard in Slot Car Racing. The revolutionary inline crown gear couples, for the first time in slot racing, a grub screw together with the common 'self centering crown gear' where the motor axle is inserted in a thread in the crown itself. The shape of the gears and the polymer compound have been optimized through several months of research and many years of competitions, and offer unparalleled reliability, smoothness and efficiency. The threaded insert can be Bronze, tested in many successful 24 hrs endurance competitions, or Aluminium for best performance in sprint races.
Inline crowns, set screw, self centering with the motor pinion
The ProAxle inline crowns are an innovation for slot racers. These extremely high mechanical precision couple show a unique feature: the set hexagonal screw locking is coupled, for the first time in slot racing, to the self centering thread where the motor axle is inserted, like in all modern Euro 1/32 slot cars (patent pending). The self lubricating polymer that makes up the crown guarantees maximum smoothness together with the optimal gear shape, optimized in several months’ research. The threaded insert is in bronze (BZ) (for all uses) are aluminium(AL) (for extremely high performance racing - it is mandatory to lube the thread before every usage and with regularity), and the low tolerance of the thread keeps the pinion and the gear at the optimal gearing distance. Perfect with Slot.it pinions and with the pinions that are normally used on cars out of the box (we recommend using brass pinions).
