Hornby
trains have evolved over
recent years with the
introduction in Hornby
digital and Live steam.
Hornby still retain their
analogue range that has been
available for many years.
Hornby also have an
affordable
selection called the railroad
range. This range of trains,
carriages and wagons have
less
detailed features which are
ideal for beginners and
younger collectors with less
detail make the items far more
durable.
Hornby
digital now offers more
realism as each train can be
programmed for acceleration
and running speed. You can
also run many trains off only
one
controller making wiring your
layout far easier. Other
features include points
operated from
the main base controller and
carriage lights that can remain
on
even if the train is
stationary. You can even
convert your old trains to
digital using a decoder.
Hornby Live steam adds
further realism to your
layout, running on distilled
water, your trains look like
the real thing with a warm up
time before your steaming
train leaves the station.
If you are just looking to
expand you layout there is a
wide range of
Hornby track pieces
available, many of these have
not changed over the years.
