The Ferrari 412P is a perfect racing partner for our current Ford GT40 range, both having outstanding performance. In-car detail is up to the expected high level as is the rest of the cars external decoration. We believe we have captured the shape and soul of this famous race car. This version was raced at the Le Mans 24hr race in 1967.
History
Raced at the 1967 Le Mans 24Hr this NART entered car, driven by Pedro Rodriguez and Giancarlo Baghetti failed to finish the race and retired with a broken piston. Originally a P3 car, Chassis No 0844 was converted several times in its life to various specification and colours as there were very few of this type made.
The car’s career followed the famous races of the day. In 1966, as a P3, was raced at Monza 1,000Km (Surtees/Parkes, 1st.), Spa 1,000Km (Parkes/Scarfiotti, 1st) and at Le Mans (Bandini/Guichet, DNF).
In 1967 it was updated to 412 spec. and raced at Daytona 24 Hours (Rodriguez/Guichet; 3rd), Monza 1,000Kms (DNF), Le Mans (Rodriguez/Baghetti, DNF). The car was then converted to a CanAm car and raced at Bridgehampton (Scarfiotti; 7th) and Mosport (DNF). Sources: various
